I was unable to successfully update Windows Live Messenger via IE setup If the installer is looking for them you can browse to it: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Windows Live\.cache" If you successfuly delete the entries manually or with the Clean Utility you can also go to "G:\Program Files\Windows Live\ messenger" where the program is situated and delete all of the files from there - delete the messesnger folder.
